Converting Visitors To Customers
David Anderson
You may get plenty of hits to your website but how do you convert those visitors to paying customers? If you're getting a 10% online lead conversion rate, you'd be doing pretty well. But with a bit of effort you could bump that up to 20% or even 30%.
How outdated is your website? Most businesses create a website when they start-up and never bother to update it or check that it is still aesthetically appealing. Things move fast on Internet and while the top Internet marketers and entrepreneurs are busy tweaking and testing and tracking and making sure their websites are still ‘cool’, you could be missing out with an old-fashioned looking website.
You might not think that your website design would make that much difference but just think about how you feel when you click on various websites. Some look very professional, contemporary and easy to navigate and that gives you confidence. Others are frankly awful and give a very amateurish first impression. Your website is your shop window -- if you went into the high street and saw a tatty shop front with a bedraggled looking shop assistant and a shabby array of low quality products, you'd be forgiven for not wanting to buy anything there. On the other hand, if you saw a clean, bright, welcoming shop front, carefully displayed products and a smiling, smart looking assistant, you'd be much more inclined to at least go in and have a look around. It's really no different on the Internet.
People make instant decisions on the Internet and this is often driven by a gut feeling for what they see. It is all too easy to just click away and look at the next website instead. You have to give people a reason to stay on your site...
Feel The Fear...
David Anderson
Entrepreneurs can be paralysed by fear and afraid to move forward with their business plans for all sorts of reasons. What are your fears? That you can't get funding to launch your product, you're afraid of failing, or even afraid of succeeding? Are you uncertain as to whether you have the right product or are you unsure that you've chosen the right business partner. Whatever it is, fear can be very disabling and a huge source of stress. Yet often, entrepreneurial fears are unfounded and are perceived rather than real...
Should You Slash Prices?
David Anderson
With the mess the economy is in at the moment, it’s tempting to slash your prices to try to encourage customers to buy. After all, it seems to work for the giants like WalMart, Tesco, DFS and so on. They all end up in a price war that is great for customers but is it good for business?
Entrepreneurs automatically assume that slashing prices is the only effective way to draw customers in during tough times – but this is not the only way, nor is it necessarily the...

Selling information and downloadable books via the Internet is one of the hottest ways to make money at the moment. But what are the magic ingredients that go into making a successful information product? I am frequently asked this question, so I thought I would have a swift roundup of the essential things you need to consider if you want to write an e-book. Stick to non-fiction.
People still think that to be a successful author you have to write a bestselling novel -- we've all heard of the phenomenal success of books like Harry Potter -- but the reality is that most fiction writers make very little from their books. Most don't actually earn anything!
So, forget fiction if you want to make money. Write that novel by all means but think of it as a hobby. To make money from writing, you have to write a book that delivers a benefit or solves a problem for its readers....
A Lucrative Niche Market
David Anderson
For consumers, the Internet is a wonderful invention where you can shop around the clock from the comfort of your favourite armchair. We can get practically anything our heart desires without the hassle of travelling to the shops, parking the car or grappling with the crowds. For consumers, it's brilliant, but for Internet sellers it can mean that you are constantly trying to beat the competition by coming up with better or cheaper products and a superior service.
However there is one class of product that most entrepreneurs generally overlook, yet they are guaranteed to sell to a lucrative niche market...
